Access

How making it! is fully “Accessible”:-

• Access making it! via a low level ramp from the street

• Induction loop at reception and on some exhibits

• Two Lifts – both with braille.  Wheelchair access to all galleries and third floor education rooms

• Café Bar and shop are fully accessible with low level counter areas

• Emergency exits (with ramps)

• Disabled toilets on ground, 1st and 3rd floors. The 1st floor cubicle is furnished with an adult changing bed

• All interactive exhibits are fully accessible with low level heights, some braille

• An audio tour of the centre is available

• Wheelchairs available for hire, free of charge, for visitor comfort

Guidance has been sought from the RNIB and surfaces etc. have been amended to suit their requirements.
